RAF Demonstration Team Visit
Visit of the RAF Demonstration Team to Rotary Lowestoft East Point
On Tuesday January 21st, Rotary Lowestoft East Point welcomed the RAF Presentation Team to their meeting at The Hotel Victoria.
An audience of 70 people enjoyed a two course meal followed by the presentation delivered by Warrant Officer Phil Lilliman. Lowestoft East Point Club President Paul Wilkinson was delighted to welcome fellow Rotarians from Lowestoft, Lowestoft South, Beccles, Blyth Valley, Norwich, and Norwich Blackfriars to the meeting.
WO Phil Lilliman gave an excellent presentation explaining the modern role of the RAF and all the current aircraft being flown. Of particular interest was the variety of excellent apprenticeships that were available to school leavers.
At the end of the evening, past DG Brian Hunter of Lowestoft Rotary Club made a personal presentation to WO Phil Lilliman. Brian is the President of the local RAF Association on holder of the rare 1958 Nuclear Test Medal.
